Fixing Etsy's Confirm Seller Info issue - Cannot Click Submit Button
Share
If you're having a problem confirming your seller info on Etsy, due to the Inform act, there is a way to work around the problem.
This will address the button being grayed out, where the submit button cannot be clicked, after you've filled in Tax and Legal information, Contact information, and everything else required.
Try this if you've contacted support, or cleared your cache/restarted your browser/computer, so on
If you've entered all the data required, and you're still not able to click the submit button do the following:
- Make sure you're using Google Chrome as your browser
- Place your cursor over the grayed out submit button you cannot click
- Right click over the button, and select Inspect in the menu that comes up. Inspect will likely be at the bottom of the list
- This will open a new window or sidebar, for Google Chrome's Developer Tools
- A line will be highlighted, starting with the text <button, with a lot of other text afterwards
- The word disabled will be in this line twice
- Remove the first occurrence of the word disabled
- After the second occurrence of the word disabled (it should read something like aria-disabled="true"), change the part after to be ="false" vs ="true"
- Click anywhere else in Developer Tools, to make the changes effective
- Go back over to your browser, the Submit button should be enabled now
Hopefully this helps! I know it's frustrating - since this is a technical glitch on Etsy's part, being able to enable the button should allow you to progress safely.
